What is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and how effective is it?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a well-established, goal-driven approach that assists individuals in recognising and altering negative thought patterns and behaviours.
By exploring the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, CBT enables people to manage their emotions, reduce stress, and enhance their overall mental well-being.
In structured sessions, clients gain practical tools to challenge unhelpful thoughts and build healthier coping mechanisms.
CBT is typically short-term and aims to create lasting, positive transformations.
It has been proven effective in addressing a wide variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), low self-esteem, confidence issues, and anger management.

Testimonials
Female, 70's
"I found the process of CBT helped me tremendously with my anxiety, which was very bad at the time. It taught me to look at things in a different way and not be so negative. Thanks to the therapy, along with the help and support I received from Dawn, I am much better now. Dawn was very kind, compassionate, understanding, and supportive during the therapy. I would fully recommend her to anyone needing help with their mental health."
Male, 30's
"I must admit I was a little sceptical of CBT and how it could help me in the situation I found myself in. How wrong I was. Dawn has been a fantastic therapist. She talked me through the process, helped me with numerous resources and videos, and met with me regularly to offer help and support. Not only has Dawn helped me overcome some of my issues, but she has also given me the confidence, skills, and strategies to manage similar difficult situations in the future using my Stay Well plan. If you need support, as we all do from time to time, confide in Dawn and embrace the CBT process. She is brilliant, and I can't thank her enough."
